Hello! I am using Photoshop CS5.1 and trying to simulate this type of effect on one of my images, but I am having a hard time figuring how to do so or finding a tutorial to explain how to create the desired effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The "before and after images" are behind the cut.
Hey there, fellow icon makers! I've been trying my hand at trying to incorporate this silhouette effect (as demonstrated in the icon below) into my icons but I just can't seem to get it right on my own. I remember reading a tutorial about this somewhere but can't for the life of me recall where...
Well my doubt is: How can I make the lines outside the girl?. I tried with dashed lines, but I want the lines rectangular, not points D:. About the program I use PSCS, but I can use CS3 too.
I noticed there were no tutorials for GIMP on the basics of using the pen tool. And since I have been using the pen tool all day, I figured I could, at the very least, make a tutorial on how to do such. So here it is.
So, I looked way back and couldn't find it, but there used to be a tutorial for taking an image and making it into a coloring book image, it was a tutorial that used a picture of avril lavigne. Could anyone point me in the direction of that tutorial or one similar to it?
This has to be easier than I think it is. How do you put a border around an icon in Photoshop? I can't figure out the tools to do it and I am going crazy.
And also, do you have to make the icon 99x99 pixels and then add the border, or does the border merely take the place of the 100th pixel?
